An informal email (Studen't Book, Writing, p. 114, ex. 2d): another model text

Dear John,

Hope you're all well. Sorry for not writing earlier, but I've been checking a lot of paperwork from my students. As you can imagine, we've been working online for about 4 weeks because of the lockdown.

Thank you so much for having me to stay with you and your family. I could experience the excitement of London from a local perspective.

You see, I've also had to continue with my French course. As for Chris, he's been incredibly busy these days, but we've been in touch via Facebook. Tonight we're watching a film together on Zoom.

Last month I could still buy something for the women in your house... Remember the enormous Mexican doll that was near Tower Bridge? Expect to get three of them: for your mum, your sister, and your niece - normal-sized, of course, and when all this is over.

That's all for now. Thanks again for everything. Hope to hear from you soon. Give my regards to the whole family!

Take care,

RocĂo

PS Don't say anything about the dolls! I'd like them to be a surprise. ;)
